Microsoft reveals Windows 8 desktop UI changes, drops Aero Glass | The Verge
Not impressed. I am not a fan of AeroGlass (I didn’t even know that’s what it was called), but this UI looks way too flat and bland to me. The ‘flatness’ is, I guess, in line with the Windows Phone Metro UI, but making the desktop practically monochrome seems to make navigation and orientation more difficult. On the other hand, many people hate the not dissimilar ‘new’ GMail UI, but I got used to it after few weeks too…
