Brett Terpstra's perfect Markdown editor

While it is difficult to disagree with Brett’s wish-list, I am quite happy with Byword for vast majority of my writing. It may not tick all the boxes for everyone, but it is pretty good—elegant, ‘intelligent’, distraction free environment with syntax ‘low-lighting’ and an integrated markdown preview. And that’s all I need.
